Protestants in Latin America

For almost a year now, I have been checking a website, Zona Latina. They offer links to news headlines concerning Latin America and links to many Latin American media.

Today, there are articles concerning the rapid growth of the Protestant, mostly Pentecostal, churches in Latin America. You may read them here:

In Mexico, Church's Influence Wanes as Evangelism Grows
By Mary Jordan Washington Post Foreign Service Tuesday, April 5, 2005; Page A01

Catholic Church Losing Ground in Latin America

Essentially, both of these articles, written from a secular perspective, indicate to us that God is at work in Latin America and He is doing it just as Jesus did - person to person - discipling!

If you have not read it, I recommend "The Master Plan of Evangelism" by Robert Coleman. Though written in 1963, it is worth your time.
